Hi, peoples! This is the new and improved consolidated Buthayna Spy information thread. People keep asking me for the case eeeevery day as if they haven't read it before, and there's simply no way to explain it on AIM
more easily than this post, soooo, what I'm gonna do is give you a long version AAAND bullet points with
SHORT summaries at the end (So there's no excuse not to read this and know what the case is!)!
This should be nice and neat and sweet! Good? OK good! So anyways, I'm going to go through allll the evidence for Buthayna, and if you feel you have something to add please let me know and we can add it in to the main post.
1. Buthayna Lied about her reason to not suspect Stone.
It's obviously confirmed that Stone was a Spy. What's interesting is how people have suspected or NOT suspected Stone. Because he's the latest Spy to be caught, there should, in theory, be the most connections between him and his Spy partners of all the Exiled Spies.
Buthayna has an interesting connection to Stone - She voted Harold over Stone in Episode 3, Tracy over Stone in Episode 4, and Sophi over Stone in Episode 6. Buthy has only given one reason, to my knowledge, as to why she didn't believe Stone is a Spy, and here it is:

Uuuummm... Did Hank ever say ANYTHING like that? No. Did Clownie? Weeeell, not really. I mean maybe someone could stretch it really far and pretend that it's what he said, but it's clearly not. Even if Buthayna interpreted what Vlad said as calling him a lurker, Vlad definitely didn't say that he felt Stone was targeted for lurking and not anything else. I mean duh, Vlad was the one that really had the biggest problem with
Stone's 'fake' Henry push more than anything.
It's a flat out lie. Period. That statement can not in any way mean what Buthayna said it meant.
"But Juuuliaaa, it's possible that Vlad or Hank said what Buthy said that they said at a different tiiiime!"
Weeeell, for one, Buthy used that chat log above HERSELF to explain where she got the Stone lurker idea from, and for two, it's absolutely twisted beyond the point of being an accident!!
Remember, she doesn't say that Vladimir and Hank called Stone a Spy, which still isn't true, but seems to be the common assumption, she's saying that Vladimir and Hank said that PEOPLE ONLY SUSPECT STONE BECAUSE HE'S A LURKER.
People keep trying to say "Oh she could have misinterpreted what Vlad said as calling Stone a Lurker and accidentally lumped Hank into it, too"
OK well that's already a huge stretch, but that's not even what she did. She said that they said Stone was ONLY suspected because of his being a lurker. So we take an already huuuuuge stretch and we stretch it waaaaaaay farther!!!!

So they didn't say anything remotely near what Buthayna claimed they said. It goes FAR beyond the point of misremembering and misinterpreting. Buthayna flat out MADE UP the claim.
Even if she misinterpreted what Vlad said as calling Stone a lurker AND even if she mistakenly added Hank into that statement, where did the "Well that's the only reason people suspect Stone" come from??
From Buthy. It's completely made up and there's absolutely no sane way on earth to speculate otherwise. It's WAY too false to be a mistake. The only logical explanation is that it was made up. End of story. Buthayna lied about a reason to NOT suspect a SPY. HMMMMM.....
2. Buthayna's Episode 2 push for Daria under VERY suspicious circumstances.
Buthayna wound up voting for Adrasteia. Yay for her! Buuuuut, it wasn't an easy choice for her to make, and she didn't start suspecting Adra until other people did, and she piggybacked off of the reasons that people used for suspecting Adra.
Here she is starting on Daria veeerrry early, at the team meeting for the Freemasons:
Keep the above quote in mind; it will come into play later!! Here's a quote from the same meeting where after I'm asked my suspicions and give them, she demands to know why Daria isn't on my list:
Now here, she suddenly switches to Adra suspicions, AFTER lots of peop-le express how they suspect Adra. Remember that she's using a reasoning (That Adra convinced everyone to vote JimBob) that had been used by several other people already:
But then 15 minutes later she's like "But I'm voting Daria anyways":
OK, so Buthy says she's gonna vote fore Daria UNLESS she comes on so that she can talk to her. Here's the thing... Buthy has givene vidence as to why she thinks Adra is suspicious. It's borrowed/recycled evidence, but it's still there. What evidence has she given for suspecting Daria?:
So she says there's not enough evidence on Adra, even though so far she's ONLY given evidence for Adra and NOT for Daria.
So what's her evidence on Daria, anyways?? Here it is, from a forum post on January 17th:
OK so Buthy says that Daria is supicious 'cause she voted for Jim Bob without talking to anyone about it. So basically, she magically bandwagoned without supposedly having the knowledge to do so? One small problem with that.... Remember that quote I said keep in mind for later?
TEAM MEETING!! Daria was at the team meeting where THEY DISCUSSED JIM BOB BEING VERY SUSPICIOUS!! OOPS, Buthy, caught agaiiiin! And here's ANOOOTHER contradiction:
So she wants to vote Daria unless Daria comes online to be talked to but doesn't want to vote for Daria unless she's talked to her. Uuuuummm.........
So anyways, Buthy has decided to vote Daria, and then Bianca comes in and says:

But wait... Bianca is addressing people thinking of voting Daria because she's inactive and the whole Lynch all Lurkers idea. Buthy said SHE suspected Daria for a different reason, that Daria voted Jim Bob without being on to know to vote Jim Bob. Yeah, it's related, but not the same reason.
And apparently Buthy was worried about that last bit where it said voting Daria would look anti-town... 'Cause she asked Cass about it, in an IM with her:
Buthy wanted to vote Daria for reasons that DON'T ADD UP given quotes taken from Buthy herself, and switched when told that it would look BAD! And she was worried about even the SWITCH looking bad. Man, Buthy is suspicious.
3. Buthayna claims to be a new player and yet has demonstrated clearly that she's not.
So Buthy cooould be a new player, I mean there are always a few new players to mafia in any mafia game. Buthy's not one of them, though, despite her claims that she is.
Why?
Well, early on, she asked a few people about a Traitor role, and provided theories on it. STONE, a SPY, also did the same thing at basically the SAME TIME!! Coincidence? Probably nooot, anyways, so, Buthy asks about a Traitor possibility:
Right here would be a greeeeat place for Clownie and Hank's conversations with Buthy about a possible traitor to go, so if you two wanna help me with that I'll love you forever
Anyways, wait, Buthy is theorizing about a Traitor? But she'slying about being allegedly a new player to the game! How would she know what a Traitor is? Well, here's the full conversation. You should read it, but I'll provide a summary of it below it for those who are lazy:
So here's what Buthayna did.
Because she'slying about being a new player, she went to Spies 6 and read the names of the roles to see what kind of roles to expect.
To clarify, she read... the NAMES of the roles, and NOTHING ELSE!! She simply read the names and NOT the descriptions, which would actually tell her what the roles are!!
She said she guessed what it would be and just assumed someone would tell her if she was wrong..... That's senseless! If the point of checking the past game for roles was to get an idea of what sort of roles were out there, wouldn't she need to actually KNOW what the roles were by reading about them? Again, this is something Buthy has claimed that DOESN'T ADD UP!
Also, Buthy has demonstrated the ability to recall facts about Exiles that happened a looong time ago
And later:
Buthy says she didn't remember, but she was actually dead on.
It's weird how she remembers all of these details and is able to quickly pull up threads supporting herself and yet she forgot that Hank said nothing about Stone lurking and that Vlad didn't say it directly and CERTAINLY neither of them said that was why he was being suspected mainly, or that she's been unable to make single case on ANYBODY given her ability to recall facts and bring up threads, which is essential in making cases against people. Once again, it DOESN'T ADD UP!
4. Buthayna actively lurks.
Buthayna is a lurker. Her posts on the Burg have been almost EXCLUSIVELY to defend herself. She hasn't made any major cases, she hasn't contributed to the Burg forum in almost any way at all since episode 2 (Other than to defend herself), and she rarely pipes in on AIM except to, oh, you guessed it, defend herself!
Sometimes Buthayna might go 30-60 minutes without saying a single thing in the chat room, but the second I say she's a Spy she begins typing. That shows that she's watching, always, but only actually saying anything basically when it's about her. SINCE I called her out on that she's changed that, which says to me that she's a Spy that doesn't like that people have noticed her lurking now. I called her out in the public chat room by the way, at the Exile:
Buthy had been in the room for a while, in fact, here's the last thing she'd said before that:
Buthy never went idle during the time leading up to the Exile, but there she was, immediately responding and falling for my traaap. She VERY clearly lurks, but now that I've called her out on it, she's suddenly talking more freely and chatting more. Why would she change the way she's been behaving for several episodes after being called out on it? 'cause she's afraid that being called out on it is gonna get her BUSTED, maybeee?
So, it's time for a fast recap:

She says it's because Hank and Vlad told her they believe Stone's mainly only being targeted for Lurking. We know this is not true due to conversations with both Hank and Vlad AND due to the quote she used to justify saying what she said.
We also know this wasn't a simple mistake because she said it to at the very least Dylan, Kleyton, and a Public chat room, all on separate occasions AND she defended herself with the quote itself.
Stone is a SPY. Buthy had to lie to make up a reason not to Suspect a SPY. Probably because she's a SPY with Stone! Nothing else ADDS UP.
2. Buthayna's Episode 2 push for Daria under VERY suspicious circumstances.
Buthy pushed Daria the entire episode, with little asides about how Adra manipulated her into voting Jim Bob, without ever providing legit proof of such a thing. She basically copied the suspicious on several OTHER people who claimed Adra convinced them to vote Jim Bob before Buthy ever said so.
Buthy finally switched to Adra after being told by Bianca that it would look bad to vote Daria, and expressed to Cassidy how worried she was that she would look bad.
Also, Buthy's reasons for voting Daria were EXTREMELY self-contradicting on several different levels. They DON'T ADD UP. Unless she's a Spy, and then everything does add up
3. Buthayna claims to be a new player and yet has demonstrated clearly that she's not.
Buthy talked about a Traitor role early on and how it could affect the game. Oddly enough, Stone, a SPY, talked about it, too, at roughly the same time. How could Buthy know what a Traitor is if she's a new player?

How could she learn ANYTHING about how a role works without reading what the role is?? She simply guessed and assumed she'd be corrected if she was wrong.

It doesn't add up.
Unless she's a Spy.
4. Buthayna actively lurks.
Buthy will be in a chat and say nothing for hours, but the second you bring her up, boom, she's responding immediately. She's almost always watching when she's in the room, but almost NEVER talks unless she's accused of being a Spy or is asked a specific question. That's the quinessential example of Lurking.
EVERYTHING, in short, points towards Buthayna being a Spy. Lets also remember that when she was talking about how she wanted to clear her name, I asked her to name ONE citizen thing she had done this game, and she got mad and left. Does that sound like a Citizen to you? No.

OK, so Buthy says she's gonna vote fore Daria UNLESS she comes on so that she can talk to her. Here's the thing... Buthy has givene vidence as to why she thinks Adra is suspicious. It's borrowed/recycled evidence, but it's still there. What evidence has she given for suspecting Daria?:

So she says there's not enough evidence on Adra, even though so far she's ONLY given evidence for Adra and NOT for Daria.

Buthy wanted to vote Daria for reasons that DON'T ADD UP given quotes taken from Buthy herself, and switched when told that it would look BAD! And she was worried about even the SWITCH looking bad. Man, Buthy is suspicious.
3. Buthayna claims to be a new player and yet has demonstrated clearly that she's not.
So Buthy cooould be a new player, I mean there are always a few new players to mafia in any mafia game. Buthy's not one of them, though, despite her claims that she is.
Why?
Well, early on, she asked a few people about a Traitor role, and provided theories on it. STONE, a SPY, also did the same thing at basically the SAME TIME!! Coincidence? Probably nooot, anyways, so, Buthy asks about a Traitor possibility:

To clarify, she read... the NAMES of the roles, and NOTHING ELSE!! She simply read the names and NOT the descriptions, which would actually tell her what the roles are!!

Buthy says she didn't remember, but she was actually dead on.
It's weird how she remembers all of these details and is able to quickly pull up threads supporting herself and yet she forgot that Hank said nothing about Stone lurking and that Vlad didn't say it directly and CERTAINLY neither of them said that was why he was being suspected mainly, or that she's been unable to make single case on ANYBODY given her ability to recall facts and bring up threads, which is essential in making cases against people. Once again, it DOESN'T ADD UP!
4. Buthayna actively lurks.
Buthayna is a lurker. Her posts on the Burg have been almost EXCLUSIVELY to defend herself. She hasn't made any major cases, she hasn't contributed to the Burg forum in almost any way at all since episode 2 (Other than to defend herself), and she rarely pipes in on AIM except to, oh, you guessed it, defend herself!
Sometimes Buthayna might go 30-60 minutes without saying a single thing in the chat room, but the second I say she's a Spy she begins typing. That shows that she's watching, always, but only actually saying anything basically when it's about her. SINCE I called her out on that she's changed that, which says to me that she's a Spy that doesn't like that people have noticed her lurking now. I called her out in the public chat room by the way, at the Exile:

Buthy had been in the room for a while, in fact, here's the last thing she'd said before that:

Buthy never went idle during the time leading up to the Exile, but there she was, immediately responding and falling for my traaap. She VERY clearly lurks, but now that I've called her out on it, she's suddenly talking more freely and chatting more. Why would she change the way she's been behaving for several episodes after being called out on it? 'cause she's afraid that being called out on it is gonna get her BUSTED, maybeee?
So, it's time for a fast recap:
1. Buthayna Lied about her reason to not suspect Stone.
She says it's because Hank and Vlad told her they believe Stone's mainly only being targeted for Lurking. We know this is not true due to conversations with both Hank and Vlad AND due to the quote she used to justify saying what she said.
We also know this wasn't a simple mistake because she said it to at the very least Dylan, Kleyton, and a Public chat room, all on separate occasions AND she defended herself with the quote itself.
Stone is a SPY. Buthy had to lie to make up a reason not to Suspect a SPY. Probably because she's a SPY with Stone! Nothing else ADDS UP.
2. Buthayna's Episode 2 push for Daria under VERY suspicious circumstances.
Buthy pushed Daria the entire episode, with little asides about how Adra manipulated her into voting Jim Bob, without ever providing legit proof of such a thing. She basically copied the suspicious on several OTHER people who claimed Adra convinced them to vote Jim Bob before Buthy ever said so.
Buthy finally switched to Adra after being told by Bianca that it would look bad to vote Daria, and expressed to Cassidy how worried she was that she would look bad.
Also, Buthy's reasons for voting Daria were EXTREMELY self-contradicting on several different levels. They DON'T ADD UP. Unless she's a Spy, and then everything does add up
3. Buthayna claims to be a new player and yet has demonstrated clearly that she's not.
Buthy talked about a Traitor role early on and how it could affect the game. Oddly enough, Stone, a SPY, talked about it, too, at roughly the same time. How could Buthy know what a Traitor is if she's a new player?
She says she went to the Spies 6 game and read the names of the roles to learn what kind of roles to expect this game. She read the names, but didn't read the role descriptions, as per her own words. How could she learn ANYTHING about how a role works without reading what the role is?? She simply guessed and assumed she'd be corrected if she was wrong.
So, essentially, she got absolutely NOTHING out of reading role names. It DOESN'T ADD UP. She then makes a big theory on a COMPLETE ASSUMPTION that would take 5 seconds to verify. It'd be completely senseless not to.
It doesn't add up.
Unless she's a Spy.
4. Buthayna actively lurks.
Buthy will be in a chat and say nothing for hours, but the second you bring her up, boom, she's responding immediately. She's almost always watching when she's in the room, but almost NEVER talks unless she's accused of being a Spy or is asked a specific question. That's the quinessential example of Lurking.
EVERYTHING, in short, points towards Buthayna being a Spy. Lets also remember that when she was talking about how she wanted to clear her name, I asked her to name ONE citizen thing she had done this game, and she got mad and left. Does that sound like a Citizen to you? No.
Buthayna is a Spy, peoples.
